Ivy had started nagging Lou about his web designer course; it was taking forever for him to complete studyingand sit for the tests. Lou had not done any such studying, except to browse online for internet dating and social networking sites during the undisturbed evenings; he was straining his grey cells to think up a good excuse.

Lou had another brilliant idea, produced from the brain cells of a slacker. He put together the website and web pages that his company web designers have created for the DTS driving school, and did a presentation for Ivy one evening. The website was certainly impressive, with vibrant colors and state-of-the art graphics. It displayed the repertoire of driving lessons offered by the school. It projected the school as an innovative and customer-focused company which offers driving lessons which can be customized to suit their customers' schedules or budget. The website described the various courses of driving lessons, from the traditional weekly and hourly driving lessons to the refresher course and the Pass Plus. The presentation also include tips on defensive driving, how to avoid accidents and offer tutorials on how to pass the driving test. Photos and images of the school facilities, amenities and vehicles were included.

Ivy was impressed with the presentation, and felt pleased with her husband. All along, at the back of her mind, she had that nagging feeling of uncertainty in Lou, that he was really not what he presented himself to be. In fact she had once or twice wondered if her husband had been stringing her along with his cooked up tales. But, after having seen that remarkable website, her faith in him was restored. She could now boast further to her family members, friends and colleagues that her husband would definitely pass the web design course, and soon become a full-fledged web designer. There would certainly be a promotion and an increase in pay. She could shop for a new car, maybe another house in the suburbs or a holiday apartment. They could plan for an overseas vacation. Ivy was certainly very pleased!

Meanwhile Lou was relieved that he had momentarily got Ivy off his back. For the time being, she would not be nagging him; however he would have to invent another reason for not going for the web designer test or job. Women - it was so simple to manipulate them. He was confident that the women in his life simply trusted him so much that they would accept whatever he wanted them to believe.
