My brother bought a scooter just before Christmas last year, so he could getto and from work. When they went to pick it up, my mum hired a van, as my brother does not even have a provisional licence yet. They collected the scooter and were on the way back when a car hit the side of the van. Luckily there was only a little dent in the side of then van, but the scooter had been knocked over. When they got home they took the scooter out of the back, tried to start it and it wouldn't start. Eventually they got it to work and they all had a go on it, around the car park.

I gave my brother the money to get his provisional licence, and got him the correct form to fill out. He went and had his picture taken, and was waiting for mum to find his birth certificate and passport. -She apparently knows where they are, but obviously just can't be bothered! When I was at school, a few people in my year had scooters,it was because of this I thought you could ride a scooter on L plates, but we checked on the dsa website and apparently you have to do a cbt test first. So my brother checked out the dsa site to find out driving lessons prices and where he can get some lessons. A few days later he had a letter from the dsa giving him all the info he needed.

He is still waiting now, 8 months on, for mum to get the passport and birth certificate out. His scooter is now not starting, something to do with the electrics. My partner is an engineerso he is going to have a look next time we go over. Hopefully my mother pulls her finger out, as its now the summer and he wants to be out and about on his scooter. We tried to get a manual for it, but we can't find one anywhere, even on their official website, they don't do them. I have sent a few emails to people, but they don't have one either. Fingers crossed though its up and running and he is riding it by the end of the month.
