Turning 17, you think you know everything and nobody can tell you what to do. For my birthday I received driving lessons from one of the automatic driving schools in my area as a gift from my parents. This meant I would only be able to drive an automatic but hey, I could drive, who cares.

I hated insurance groups so much but I knew that once I had passed my theory test and that I was getting a motorbike I knew for definite that I had to get insurance groups for my motorbike sorted out so that I did not have to worry again about insurance groups in the future. It was so annoying though because once I had passed my theory test and then passed my driving test I just wanted to ride my motorbike without having to worry about insurance or accident claims or tax or anything else. I did enjoy doing my theory test. I know that sounds so weird but I did actually like doing it because It was just so easy. I never knew a test could be so easy it was quite a shock when I passed with one hundred percent. All my friends and pretty much every person I knew that had done their theory test had passe with a very high percentage apart from one person who failed it because he just was not good enough and in the end I think he actually decided to just quit driving lessons and so he did not do his theory test or driving test because he was so ashamed and upset that he could not even pass such an easy test where as I was a person that if I failed something or was not very good I would practice and practice until I passed. I wanted success and I knew I was never going to be a quitter. Even when I worked for a cheap skip hire company, it was not the best job ever in the world but I knew for a fact that I would be more ambitious and get a better job and maybe even have my own business one day because I knew i wanted to reach my maximum potential and nothing would be an obstacle and nothing would ever ever get in my way because I refused to ever give up. That is the main lesson I learnt in life. Never ever give up.

The driving practice test was the next day. I was eager as well as nervous, as this was my first ever encounter of such kind. I was deliberately memorizing the theories about motoring when mother rushed into my room euphoric informing me that Uncle Ben is coming to visit us to Aleksandr straight from USA. Let me inform you that Uncle Ben was my mother's first cousin who left for USA a long time ago. Now, he says that he has made a fortune by skip bins hire business. We know its true because, he brings a lot of our gifts for each and every one. Last time he brought me an oval, and said it was a foot ball. Later I was told that Americans play foot ball with these balls only.

My instructor was a man called David Simms. He was very nice I thought. He had a calming voice. Even when I backed the motor into a skip to hire van. Well I don't know how that got there.I think having a good instructor is important. I mean personality when I say that. I've known many that seemed to effect my nerves as the day went on.It was a nice motor we were driving. It was a van. It looked like the A team van. It obviously wasn't though I did ask. David my instructor told me that I was a natural behind the wheel so perhaps this is how he taught.
